Prevention
Aspiration into the lungs may cause chemical pneumonitis. Obtain special instructions before use. Do not handle until all safety precautions have been read and understood. Keep away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, open flames and other ignition sources. No smoking. Ground/Bond container and receiving equipment. Use explosion-proof electrical, ventilating or lighting equipment. Use only non-sparking tools. Take precautionary measures against static discharge. Avoid breathing vapors. Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. Wash affected areas thoroughly after handling. Use only in a well-ventilated area. May cause irritation to mouth, throat and stomach. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and eye or face protection.
Response
IF SWALLOWED: Immediately call a Poison Center (1-800-851-7145) or physician. DO NOT induce vomiting unless directed to do so by medical personnel. Drink a cupful of milk or water.
IF ON SKIN (or hair): Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Wash contaminated clothing before reuse.
IF INHALED: Remove person to fresh air and keep comfortable for breathing.
IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing for at least 15 minutes. If eye irritation persists: Get medical advice or attention.
IF exposed or concerned: Get medical advice or attention. Call a Poison Center (1-800-851-7145) or physician if you feel unwell.
